This is a pub we never miss on our pub crawl of Preston.There is a protection order on the building,including the inside. The pub has the old type vault,a lounge and other rooms.There are three different entrances on three different streets.It is the only Robinsons pub i have seen with so many different cask beers on the bar, all of their own.There is an upstairs bar called PETERS BAR which is open at weekend. If you visit the centre of Preston pop in and see what pubs used to be like .

Another good visit to this little gem in the centre of Preston.Once again a full bar of cask beers but sorry to say no Hatters mild,i asked the barman why they had stopped selling it and he said that it would be on the bar again within a week.We drank Hartleys xb and finished off with a halfe of Old Tom at 8.5abv what a beer.

I cant go to Preston and not call at the Black Horse for the hatters mild. Not today they did not have it on the bar so i had to have a pint of old stockport bitter which i must admit was on top form.

There are no guest beers as this is a tied pub, but there is a large choice of there own brews.I like a pint of dark mild, and i find the HATTERS MILD to my taste. MY friends drank the xb and the stockport bitter all were in good condition.
