Description
[Edit]This is the first pub to be owned and run by York Brewery. There is always at least 2 York beers supplimented by 2 or more guests. They also serve a wide selection of draft and bottled lagers. Food is served 12 to 4pm which makes this an ideal spot to grab some lunch while you are in town shopping.

We went in here and was told that there was no real ale on. I don't know what the reason was but the pump clips were still the right way around. I would have thought that a pub owned by a York brewery would be able to keep a good supply of ale.

I was very impressed with this pub. I like all the York brews. I am suprised that this isn't in the good beer guide because it is a real contender
