[Edit]Local pub with timeless appeal. Two rooms one right next to canel. Beer garden outside. In the summer when the back door is open to the beer garden you can see straight through to the canal from the road amazing sight! Food served 12-2 Mon to Fri good pub grub at sensible prices. staff very helpful and well turned out. Opening times 12.00 - 3.00 then 5.00 - 11.00 Mon - Thurs 12.00 - 11.00 Fri - Sun.

went for night out in rodley and newlaithes called at barge first and found the old bear special on 4.6% copper in colour, and it did taste of christmas pudding!

Tried a pint of each Rodley Barge Bitter, Tetleys and Old Bear Original all in very good condition. Stoped for lunch and had the mixed grille just the right amount of everything, prices didnt shock either. Made to feel very welcome by barman Paul. Will be going back soon.
