Description
[Edit]This pub is situated underneath the railway viaduct, opposite the turning for the train station. It is a single bar pub with plenty of tables in the bar and a separate dining area.
Decent food can be had up to 9pm, and accomodation is available.

Visit
First time I had been in this pub. We ended up staying all evening. I was just ordering a pint of Speckie Hen when I spied the Adnams Explorer (a golden ale at 4.3%) which had just been put on. I stuck with it all night. It was excellent, crystal clear with an amazingly strong hoppy aroma which I find some cask ales lack.
The staff were polite and friendly. The toilets were very clean and dry.
We ordered food and it was on the table in no time, well presented, tasty and fillling.
Looking forward to another visit soon.
